•       The ArtTech Center will close at noon this Fri. July 15th. If you
have any equipment signed out make sure you pick it up or drop it off before
that time.
•       Tomorrow is the much anticipated TRIPLE XTREAM ABS EXPLOSION DAY!!
For running club! Sick of waiting for laundry machines? Use your washboard
abs instead after a 30-minute ABS EXPLOSION WORKOUT! Meet at 7:30am in the
Commons Courtyard tomorrow morning.
•       Come see “Beautiful Losers” at the Private Dining Room in the
Meyerhoff during dinner on TOMORROW starting at 5pm. No sign-up is needed.
•       If you haven’t checked in with the Bureau to update your number of
assassinations please find agents (TARCs) Abby Boeh or Christina Barrera to
report your kills.
•       Quest for the Best Pizza sign up with Brandon will happen TONIGHT in
the Meyerhoff during dinner! The event is TOMORROW from 4:30pm to 8pm.
•       Think like a chicken: protect your progeny! Ascend the commons in a
thrilling egg-drop competition this Wednesday at 6pm. Sign up in teams of 2
or 3 TONIGHT at 5pm in the Hoff with Dai.
•       Rubino’s oil painting class please bring $15 to class tomorrow in a
$10 and $5 form for the NYC trip
•       As previously noted, the trip to Cylburn Abroretum was reschedulded
for this Friday @ 1:30 If you signed up & are now unable to attend please see
Dai in the courtyard after checkin. If you would like to try and fill a newly
vacant spot come down around 10:45

  • Come have dinner & a movie, Girl with the Pearl Earring will be showing in the Private Dining Room in the Meyerhoff on the 6th starting at 5pm. No sign up but space is limited.
  • Beverly Huang, Conner Crable, Emily Watlington, Alejandra Fernandez, and Jennifer Jaung, please come to the pre-college office after check-in with 14.25 if you still want to go to Harry Potter. Please come anyway even if your not interested just to let us know.
  • Kuo Pao Lian’s architecture class please meet downstairs in the commons courtyard at 8:50 am. Remember to bring water and wear sneakers.
  • Interested in building a web presence through the use of a blog, website, or other internet thingy? Mark your calendar for this Wednesday, 6 pm, for a professional development workshop on getting your work out on the web effectively. We will go over the details of a variety of blog and website building sites, and will be covering writing artist statements.
  • Running club is meeting tomorrow at two different times: for those with experience running long distance, meet Brandon at 7am in the courtyard. For runners who wish to do a shorter run along with agility and strength training , meet Jacqueline at 7:30 am in the courtyard.
  • GET IN LOSERS WE’RE GOING SHOPPING. LOL J/K, we’re watching Mean Girls in the Gatehouse, @ 7 PM this Wed. We just have a lot of feelings, ok?

•       Even though tomorrow is the 4th of July FOR REAL, you still have core
class and studio. There will be a delicious picnic-style BBQ in the Commons
tomorrow for dinner, though, to have a little fun in between the two!
•       Running club meets tomorrow in the commons courtyard at 7:30 am – we
will leave promptly so please get there early! RUN LIKE THE WIND!
•       Lauren Ashford, Leo Levy, Ben Grenier, Laura Zapata and Andrew
Steward meet Ben Sifel outside the pre-college office after check-in to pick
which event you want a spot on as your prize for winning the scavenger hunt!
•       Remember that vandalism of MICA’s or another students’ property in
any way is grounds for dismissal from the program. Please don’t damage
others’ property.
•       Please pick up your trash!! The Commons can get real gross real fast
if 230 people put their trash not in the trash cans/trash rooms.
•       And now, it’s time for the winner of the Great Chalk Drawing Contest
of 2011: Congratulations to Elise Broadway and Zoe Palmer!! Your prize will
be available on Wednesday. Also, great job to all our other competitors, you
all tied for a close second place!
•       To those who drew on the picnic table with chalk please clean it off

Urban Outfitters with us on Wednesday. Sign ups are on Tuesday, July 5th at
5pm dinner.
•       If your toilet begins to overflow turn off the water. Don't know how?
Ask your TARC for help.
•       If you left your nail polish at the nail painting party come get it
from the pre-college office after check-in
•       There will be a chalk drawing contest tomorrow @1 sign up in teams of
2 at the Gatehouse. Prizes will be 2 $10 gift certificates to the MICA store!
•       Wanna go to the beach? Get your feet wet in a vast ocean of wonder?
Your dreams have come true, (sort of) in the form of the commons Beach Party.
Starting @ 12 tomorrow in the commons the courtyard will be transformed into
a fantastic, beachy celebration including tropical drinks and festivities for
all.
•       Who's that TARC-émon?Find out tomorrow at TARC Talks at 7 PM in
Falvey Hall. Attendance is mandatory. Until then, make sure to catch 'em all
and keep your eyes out for super-rare cards and booster sets in the near
future!
•       For those who signed up for the American Visionary trip tomorrow
please bring 10 for admission and extra money for the gift shop. Meet in the
courtyard @3:10 PM
•       Students in Lillian Hoover's Core Class – if you have not bought all
your supplies for class on Monday, meet Caitlin & Lindsay in the courtyard
after checkin tonight.
•       Students in Sara Barnes' Raku class – remember that studio time is
availiable to you tomorrow after dinner and before 7 P.M. (when tarc talks
start) Karen & Caitlin will be leaving the Hoff at 5:30 P.M. If you would
like to join them.

•The whole foods trip to Mount Washington will be leaving at 1:30pm tomorrow from the Common’s Courtyard.
•If you signed up, please bring $3.20 for the light rail.
•If you signed up for the zine & bookmaking workshop for tomorrow at 3, please remember to bring paper, collage materials, and exacto + scissors + glue (if you have it!) paper = most important
•When doing laundry do your best to get your laundry as soon as it's done so that others can use the machines, you can move wet clothes into an empty dryer to free up a washer but be sure to leave a note! Also double check that you don't take someone else laundry by accident, if you have please bring it back to the front desk promptly

• All Those who were scheduled for the BMA museum trip today will now go to the BMA July 15th at 1pm. All of your who were scheduled to go to the Walter's Museum trip today will now got next week July 8th at 1pm. Only a handful of students have Artstor training switches and your TARCs will notify you if it has changed.
• Get your produce on! And while you're there, stock-up on crazy flavored hummus, homemade mini donuts, fresh kettle corn and dangerously delicious pies. The Farmer's Market trip is on Sunday at 9am and sign-ups are on Saturday at the Meyerhoff at 5pm.
• Harry Potter sign-ups are today! 5pm at the Meyerhoff! Bring $14.25 when you sign up or else you will not be able to sign up for the trip.

• Agents who have joined The Organization: well done. For those bright-eyed agents-in-training who have yet to sign up for Assassins, final call is tonight after 10:30pm chick-in with Agent Cobra (TARC Abby) in the Commons Courtyard. Remember: be polite, be efficient, and be prepared to kill everyone you meet.
• The American Visionary Museum is a collection of alternative art done by non-working artists. Check out the work and browse their famous gift shop with every knick-knack EVER! The trip is on Sunday at 3:30pm and sign-up is tomorrow in the Meyerhoff at 5:00pm.
• Sign up for the 'zine and bookbinding workshop today at dinner in the Meyerhoff at 5pm. SPACE IS LIMITED! The workshop will be held at 3pm on Saturday in the Gatehouse. Bring paper, collage materials and any other supplies you would like to use.
• If you signed up for the Epic Scavenger Hunt be sure to meet in the Commons Courtyard at noon tomorrow with all of your teammates.
• Want as many free books as you can carry? Classic novel or Old National Geographics? We're going to the Book Thing on Sunday. Sign ups are on Saturday in the Meyerhoff at 5pm dinner.

• Running club will NOT be meeting tomorrow – rest those legs and
recharge!
• Warren Linn is doing a sketchbook program on tomorrow at 1pm in the
Gatehouse! If you loooooove sketching and wish to show off your skills and
learn some new ones, go to the program and bring your sketchbooks. Warren
really knows how to make them awesome!
• The hours of the MICA store are as follows: Monday and Tuesday from
9am to 8pm, Wednesday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm and is closed on
Sunday.
• Want to make a ‘zine? Want to learn some quick and easy methods for
binding ‘zines and books? The sign-up for ‘zines and bookbinding workshop is
tomorrow at 5pm in the Meyerhoff! The workshop will be held this Saturday at
3pm in the Gatehouse. Bring paper, collage materials and a needle and thread
if you have it!
• If you make a mess clean it up. Once you finish eating at the
Meyerhoff return your plate and all your unfinished bizness to the tray
return. Kindly throw your trash into the trash can before doing so. Please

• Check check check it out. If you are unsure if you have either
Artstor training or a Museum trip to attend go to the gatehouse and examine
the dry erase board.

• Art History is at 10 A.M. In Falvey Hall tomorrow
• Warren Linn will talking about the art of sketchbooks tomorrow at 1
P.M.
• Want to win a guaranteed spot on the Harry Potter Trip or another
program with limited spaces? Grab four friends and sign up to complete in
this year’s Epic Scavenger Hunt. Challenges include: keeping pace with a
jogger in the Inner Harbor and finding Michael Phelps. Sign ups are TODAY at
dinner.
• Join us for a delicious dinner at Sofi’s Crepes followed by “Midnight
in Paris” at the Charles Theater on Friday, July 1st. Tickets will be bought
at the theater and costs $9.50 so please bring CASH (the Charles does not
take MICARD or DEBIT/CREDIT, but Sofi’s does). Sign up at 5:00pm TODAY June
30th at the Meyerhoff.
• Sign-up's for Tomorrow's trip to Whole Foods in Mount Washington will
be taking place tonight starting at 5pm in the Meyerhoff. The trip will be
leaving the Common's tomorrow at 1:30pm. Please make sure that you do not
have Artstor training or a museum trip before signing up.
